The avenue runs from east to west across the territory of the Sverdlovsky, Pervomaisky and Leninsky districts of the capital, crossing almost the entire city center. It starts from the intersection of Shabdan Baatyr Avenue with April 7th Street and Kurmanjan Datka Street, passes over the bridge over the Alamedin River, crosses Ibraimov Street, Abdrakhmanov Street, Erkindik Boulevard, Togolok Moldo Street, Manas Avenue, Young Guard Boulevard, Beishenaliev Street and several other less important streets, passes over the bridge over the Ala-Archa River and ends at Deng Xiaoping Avenue after crossing Fuchik Street.
