Live webcam broadcasts a view of the Grand Canal in Venice in real time. The camera is installed in Hotel San Cassiano, which is located in the Santa Croce city district, a 5-minute walk from the Rialto Bridge. The webcam is looking east towards the ferry dock «Ca 'D'Oro».
The Grand Canal is a canal with a length of 3.8 km, a width of 30 to 70 meters, a depth of about 5 meters. This is the most famous and popular tourist channel in Venice.
The Grand Canal was not artificially dug. It is a former shallow channel between the islands of the lagoon, one of which is Rialto.
Live webcam on the Grand Channel is broadcast around the clock in high-definition Full HD at a rate of 60 frames per second (which provides a clearer and smoother picture).
