Webcam shows a view of the Rialto bridge in Venice, Italy. Rialto is the main bridge connecting the two banks of the Grand canal.
The Rialto bridge, the first pontoon, then wooden and is based on piles, was built in the 12th century. In 1444 on the ruins was built a new much larger wooden bridge, which even housed a few shops. Finally the stone bridge, as we can see today was built between 1588 and 1591 and designed by Antonio da Ponte.
