The sandy beach shown on the online broadcast is Playa Gran, one of the main beaches of Tossa de Mar, located along the bay and overlooking the beautiful promenade.

On the southeast side of the bay, you can see the historic Muralles de Tossa de Mar, the medieval ramparts surrounding the old town (Vila Velha). It is a fine example of a fortified medieval city with an extensive city wall built in the 12th century with numerous tall towers.

Off the coast you can see the islet of L'Ilha de Tossa de Mar, and to the north of the bay is Playa Mar Menuda beach on a rocky promontory. Among the waterfront buildings is the parish church of San Vicente, the largest church in the municipality, built in the 18th century.
