Live webcam shows the famous cruiser «Aurora» close-up in real time. Now the cruiser is moored at the Petrogradskaya Embankment on the Bolshaya Nevka River in Saint Petersburg.
The cruiser «Aurora» is the most famous museum ship, which is one of the main attractions of the Northern capital. The cruiser took part in the Russo-Japanese War and the First World War. A blank shot from the Aurora was the signal for the start of the storming of the Winter Palace. The cruiser became one of the symbols of the October Revolution.
And at the very beginning of the Great Patriotic War, the cruiser was in Oranienbaum. It was included in the Kronstadt air defense system. As the Germans approached Leningrad, the cruisers were forced to remove their weapons. The shelling of the Aurora continued until the very lifting of the blockade of Leningrad.
Now the cruiser «Aurora» is one of the branches of the Central Naval Museum and an object of cultural heritage of Russia.
