Live webcam broadcasts in real time a view of the nest of two griffon vultures, which is home to a pair of disabled vultures. The nest is located in the aviary of the rehabilitation center for wild birds and animals of Israel. The livestream is part of ongoing monitoring and research aimed at restoring endangered vulture populations in Israel.
The camera is installed and maintained by the Wildlife Ecology Group Charter (which includes the Shamir Research Institute and the Faculty of Geography and Environmental Sciences of the University of Haifa).
The griffon vulture is a very large bird of prey of the genus of vultures of the hawk family, a scavenger.
