Have just been watching the Falcon in its nest eating what seems to me to be small stones. Am I right in this and if so what is the purpose of this. Would appreciate any feedback. Thanks.
I have followed the Falcon project in Orange for many months ( I am a former Orange resident) and I see now a lone bird always in or around the nest. Do not know if male or female but saddens me to see this bird alone is the mate somewhere around ?
Just watching the current falcon (mum or dad) ? seems to be forming a bowl in the nest. Wondering if a second clutch of eggs may be on the way.
Wondering if the breeding pair have a second clutch in this season.
