Good lil birb.
Sadly, the nest was abandoned by the sea eagles and the two eggs were stolen by a raven after a few days.
Have the sea eagles left the nest? Will the 2 eggs then no longer be hatched?
Is nobody commenting this year
This is very nice. Stuck at home with a cold this aft. Enjoying the garden in Sheffield from a suburb of Chicago. Tried leaving a nice rating but it must not have taken. Thanks
both chicks and the female had no food since yesterday. The male did not arrive
Smaller birds trying to mob eagles off nest at around 15.50. Both birds protecting nest.
Best eyes in Denmark.
well sadly today 23rd march 2022 an imposter white tailed eagle came onto the nest whilst the eggs were being incubated and scared the sitting bird off while the imposter then proceeded to break the eggs and eat them. very sad outcome
First egg layed 15th March 2022.
First egg laid today 15/3/22 at 1637, hopefully there will be more eggs laid and all will survive this year.
This current osprey imposter appears to be a cormorant!
The information about this nest location needs updating. The Dyfi Osprey Project is run by the Montgomeryshire Wildlife Trust, and the nest and observatory are near Machynlleth, in Powys, mid Wales. In 2021 the two adult birds are Idris (male, no ring) and Telyn (female, Blue 3J). Their two chicks are Dysynni (male, Blue 490) and Ystwyth (female, Blue 491). The nest audio is fine.
I followed them from their birth, excellent cam.
What happened to the web camera? Was it the storm on Friday? I hope to return to see the three small "Ciconiae nigrae" soon!
