Webcam at the nest of black storks, Ogre Municipality, Latvia

Live webcam broadcasts a view of the black stork nest in the Ogre Municipality of Latvia. The camera allows you to remotely monitor the life of storks in real time. According to information available to ornithologists, the nesting site of black storks has been known here since at least 2003, but this nest was found only in January 2021.

The nest that hosts this webcam may have been built in 2010 after the previous nest was abandoned. In 2021, there were no chicks; in 2022, the storks successfully hatched three chicks. In a previous nest in the area, one of the old birds was ringed, and in this nest in 2022, both nesting black storks were unringed.

Webcam at the nest of black storks in the Ogre Municipality was installed by specialists of the Latvian Fund for Nature.
